We believe supporting local businesses is essential in today's economy.
By shopping at independent businesses, the money you spend goes back into
the community, instead of into the hands of giant corporations. Large corporate
chains only carry a few styles, and you’ll find the same styles at each
of their stores. At small businesses you can find much more variety and
local flavor, making your wardrobe and shopping experience completely unique.
Here
at The Attic, we take pride in giving back to the community. Our CHANGE
FOR CHANGE promotion donates 5 cents to The Environmental Defense Fund for
each plastic bag that you do not take for your purchases. So far we have
raised $145 – that’s a lot of nickels! Every September we hold a Silent
Auction of the best items we purchase from our customers all summer long.
The money we raise benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Attic also supports local schools and charities by donating gift certificates
and sponsoring in store events.
